Heidi is an up and coming soprano from the Lower Mainland. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Trinity Western University and just completed her Artists Diploma at the Vancouver Academy of Music with tenor David Meek. In the last few years Heidi has gained experience singing excerpts from some of opera's most beloved heroines including Violetta, Aida, Norma, Tatiana, Countess, and Die Marschallin. She also made her debut in a major role on stage when she sang Donna Elvira in 2007 and is now exploring more of the exciting and challenging roles within her fach.
You can next see Ms. Peters sing Lady Billows from Britten's Albert Herring produced by the Vancouver Academy, followed by a return to the role of Norma with Opera Pro Cantanti. Later this summer she will be returning to Europe where she has been invited to study with Joan Patenaude -Yarnell (Manhattan) at the Centro Studi Lirica Summer Opera Program in Novafeltria, Italy.
